Period education is vital for everyone, irrespective of gender, for several reasons. One of the most evident is to obtain a knowledge and understanding of how the human bodies work. Getting acquainted with the menstrual cycle and understanding its importance, knowing fertility, pregnancy, and periods will enable us to understand what they are and how they affect everyone regardless of their sexual identity.
Boys will develop a sense of respect and compassion for their sisters, friends, mothers, and all future women in their life if they are taught about menstruation. And, if males understand what their friends are going through, teasing over periods will lessen.
Hence, in the upcoming PinkTalk session, we will discuss about this and how we can remove the taboos.
