Date – 27th April 2022
Day/Time- Wednesday, 6 PM
Irregular periods are basically when the duration of your menstrual cycles (the time between one period and another) starts fluctuating. When a cycle lasts longer than 35 days or varies in length, it is considered irregular menstruation. This is also termed irregular if there are variations in blood flow or clots that are larger than 2.5 cm in diameter. The medical term for irregular periods is Oligomenorrhea.
Depending on the cause of it, treatments vary. Suppose, for example, for Puberty and Menopause, it doesn’t usually require any kind of treatment, and for Puberty, it’ll eventually get regular. If irregular bleeding is caused by contraceptives- like birth control and lasts for a few months, the woman should consult a doctor about alternate options. Its important to treat this irregularity with the utmost concern if it is repetitive in nature, its essential that you consult the doctor.
Therefore, in the upcoming PinkTalk session, we will discuss about the irregularities and how one can manage them.
